    An arguement thats escalated between friends:

    The phrase "Play it by ear"

    Thats what i think it is, my friends think its "Play it by year". Which is right!!! We are pretty much 50:50 on this.

    there is an entry for play it by ear. :D

    Do you know what the expression means? It's a musical term meaning to learn a piece by listening to it as opposed to reading the notes.
