    Lo laeds smile.gif
We're having trouble sending files via ISDN dial-up to news papers and such, I suppose each place has its own software and protocols. A complete rundown of this would be seriously helpful laeds, what protocols, what software to use, yada yada....
Thanx a squillion in advance laeds smile.gif

Chief you'll need to post more specifics on the problems you're having as youe query is a little broad/vague. What are you trying to transfer and how are you going about it ?

Ok Canaboid m8, basically, if youve got a magazine advert to do they often give you their ISDN number to dial up and send the files, all we usually need to send is text and gfx but we have to send them via email as we cant get this ISDN service to work. Just need help in understanding what the protocols are. all about it just and what software we should use to send via ISDN.
    Cheers m8 smile.gif

Why not just ask them what they use? They could have anything at all at the end of the line - there's no point going through all the possibilities when they know the answer wink.gif

    Good luck

I'd imagine PPP and V120 would be the most common myself.

Aye, many large institutions refuse to use modern techniques, jaded and more interested in conformity than efficiency. God knows it's SO hard to set up a secure link/upload system.
