You could also entitle this how not to play poker. Limp in preflop and then commit 50 big blinds in a unraised pot with top pair having no idea of the strength of your opponnents hand in a quest to win 2Bbs.

well done ocallagh so you won it!. i tuned in briefly when you had 80,000 and were sitting out. the leader had 250,000 and bullitpete had 160,000 or so at that stage. what a result. what happened to that big chip leader and bullitpete? looks like you done away with one of them at least?.

i know, it was a terrible bet by him. he committed his entire stack a few times for pots a lot smaller. its like that move u see a lot on vc. 1st pos sticks it all in for about 200XBB with A7 and gets called somewhere along the line by either AQ, AK, KK or AA. he may as well do it with 72, at least he'll have 2 live ones..

hey rounders, yeah i doubled from 80k with AK. bout an hour later i had 180k and flopped trip 7's. Ad7s2s. A raise and a re-raise in front of me. i pushed all in and they both called. As4s (flush draw - 38% questionable call) AQ (terrible call - must be about 5%). That gave me the chip lead which I hung on to. i had no bad outdraws outside the rebuy period which helps

ocallagh, are the rebuy tournies on PPP like the ones in real life, every man and his dog going all in pre-flop on questionable hands before the freeze-out? I play a rebuy tourney locally and the first hour is just terrible. You're basically playing with people who are desperately trying to double up or bust out trying. It's put me off playing the bigger rebuy tournies on PPP, as I can imagine it would be even worse.

They are pretty crazy alright... you ned to hit, but you will get paid off when u do. I wouldn't be put off playing them though. Keep in mind you'll probably need about 2 or 3 rebuys and a topup. The rebuys finish at the end of level 4 and by level 6 or 7 it settles down.

It's one thing that really bugs me about VC now. 90% tourneys are rebuy and every rebuy has a reg. fee on it. Greedy. Well done by the way
