I can imagine these being in a paper or something because they're good but i think that any image/drawing that you won't be there to explain, shouldn't need explaining.

My Favourite was the Education and Government one.

    They're great!

My favourite is also the Govt and Education.

I think they're OK. Stylistically, they're really good. But I found the narrative in them a little confusing, so what you were saying got lost a bit. Simple example is the debt relief one: I see he's dragging a bag of swag to an offshore bank account, but where's he looking? The people who gave him the money, or what? A group portrait of the G8 might have helped. But I think you're definitely talented enough to make your cartoons much stronger.

Maybe also try to be more searing in what you say.

They're very similar visually to that Irish Times cartoonist (his name escapes me right now).

    martyn turner.
Thats because i only started for a laugh 6 months ago based on one of his cartoon si cut out of the paper.
I stopped basing them on his after a while though.
The problem is that i am normally there to explain then to the people i show them to.

Great drawings - my top vote goes to the U.S. Army Recruitment one - I like the subtle 'No return ticket' message.

Also like the 'Oliver' Education one -could be a lot government departments really!

    Keep drawing - you've got talent. :)

I would say The Irish Times only use Martin Turner, as he has been the regular guy for years and years.

A good sourcebook for you would be the Artists' & Writers' Yearbook, an annual tome that is full of advice & names and addresses (UK orientated but still relevant). It covers everything from poetry to short stories.

What is brilliant about it is that it can save you loads of time, money and effort by telling you what companies are looking for and AREN'T looking for! Some don't want any direct submissions, dealing with agents only.
Maybe you'll end up with an agent someday!

Your local library might have a copy if the book, if you don't want to buy it.

This was one of my favourites: the fact that he's thanking the countries for the "debt relief", but he's taking it all for himself.
