    Lads,

have a bit of a problem here with a clients laptop. The thingie connects up to the network perfectly, retrieves e-mail from the server, surfs the web etc.
However if he connects using DUN when out and about the machine connects to the ISP server, authenticates etc. but that's it.
Connection stays "alive" but there is zero data-flow. Can't open up any pages in a browser can't retrieve mail etc.
Quite bleedin' anoying. I've tried un-installing and re-installing drivers, different modems etc. with no luck.
    Would apreciate any tips/hints/solutions...

What's the routing table look like? Perhaps the machine is still trying to send packets out the network adaptor instead of the PPP interface.

If the NIC is a PCMCIA then try removing it prior to booting the laptop.

Nic is built into the docking station so that is probably not the cause. Strange thing is that once connected through DUN I can ping any IP addy or URL that I want, however it still will not open a website or send&retrieve e-mail. I suspected a DNS problem but even aftre manually entering the DNS details it kept doing the same thing.....

    HELP!!
