I've been avoiding the forum until I saw the event which I've just finished watching. A couple of points to note.

Baroni, wow - Just the win he needs to get his name back up there as a legit middleweight. Like him or hate him (and it's usually the latter), Phil Baroni is a man who has taken the best from Amar Suloev and KO'd him. He has beaten Dave Menne, Curtis Stout and now adds what everyone previously considered to be one of the top 185 pounders in the world in Ryo Chonan to his list.

Minowa/Kimo - Kimo didn't look as big as I expected. I'm guessing he lost a little weight as he looked much bigger the last time I saw him fight shamrock. No disgrace in losing to a leglock.

Semenov/Kang - These two put it on the line for the entire fight, both going back and forth. Kang won by decision but Semenov fought the good fight.

Kawajiri/Buscape - Buscape started off strong but Kawajiri started to take control midway through the fight and put an exclamation point on his win by stomping Buscape out to the bell.

Hansen/Imanari - As expected Imanari went for heel hook after heel hook, only to be caught by a pattented Joachim Hansen knee. An expected win for Hansen. Hopefully we'll get to see him fight Gomi again.

Speaking of Gomi, he completely dominated Jean Silva position wise but I was really impressed by Jean.. He didn't give up and kept going for it. It was a tough debut for him on the big show to take on Gomi but he lasted alot longer than I thoguht he would.. Gomi/Hansen just has to happen next.

    Good bushido show.

Forgot about that.. I looked over his fight again with Minowa as I only briefly looked over it today - I'm convinced it was a work.
