I'm not sure if this is the wrong forum for something like this, apologies mods if it is.

I've to buy a phone card for ringing someone in Australia, but I'm looking for people's recommendations.

What's the best phonecard for ringing Oz?

Preferably one that gives me the most minutes for my money and with a decent connection, where I'll actually be able to hear the other person.

Where would I get it etc.

I'm in the Dublin area so that's where I'd be heading to buy a card, also internet buying is out.

    Thanks in advance.

    A.M

i would try simi sim communications on anguier street they sell 100's different cards so would have one for you.
they would be around 9-10 yoyos which is cheap.

Are you calling from a landline or a mobile?
If you're calling from a landline you should try telestunt.
No seperate bills it just comes on the phone bill and you should be able to identify your calls as Local 1890 on the phone bill.
So if you're sharing the phone bill and no one else makes regular calls to 1890 numbers it shouldn't be much hassle keeping track of how much you're spending.

I used to use phone cards but none that i'd found were anywhere near as good as telestunt.

TalkXtra charge 5c a min all day everyday. It works like a debit card. You put money into the card over the phone with laser or CC i.e. put in 10 euro you get 3hrs 20mins worth of calls then. Free phone number to access card so no the charge to landline charge is only applied to the card so you can use the card in anybodies house etc without them getting charged for the call.

You can get from most shops like spar, centra etc. usually comes in a voucher like mobile top up - cheap at only €5 & rates are as good as I've found - Swiftcall have been around for years so service is very reliable
