    Enrol or Enroll?

Which would you consider correct and why? I'd always thought enroll was right but it would seem enrol is a perfectly cromulent word.

    I'd go for enroll.

Do a search on answers.com and both spellings produce the same result.. 'enrol' redirects to 'enroll'.

Yeah, I looked on Dictionary.com before posting but it gave 4 results for enroll and 3 for enrol which I was surprised at. Is it US english or something?
