MS HotFix KB888310 (?Virus?)

    Hey,

    A bunch of us in work have discovered that we all have this Microsift Hotfix (KB888310) installed. Thats cool, thing is, as far as microsoft are concerned it does not exist and google yeilds one non related result. Can anyone shed some light on this?

    When you say Microsoft don't say it exists are you talking about searching the knowledgebase or did you speak to someone? And are you admins or have you asked admins whether or not they installed it? Is Windoze update turned on? (if it is shoot the admins regardless ;) )

    If it's not a publicly available hotfix google won't report on it. A number of hotfixes are bug related rather than security related and are only release to people on request. It's possible that this is one of them.

    The knowledgebase number doesn't exist, I checked. Thats enough for me. And toogle had it listed under a HijackThis log. Definate malware, but I don't have a solution...
