Whats so special about the NI version ?

RTE1/2 and TG4 are on its EPG but it doesnt actually decode these channels while UTV and BBC NI are available through "other channels" on a mainland card

im getting Freesat soon and the last thing I want is UTV on 103 as my ITV region, I want proper ITV1. UTV just comes across as a totally amateurish station with terrible regional programming, bad presenters (especially that old camp guy julian) and those awfull dub-overs on adverts with tacky utv graphical presentation avoiding the solid, professional identity that all the other ITV regions have. Give me ITV1 London any day. Sorry if my post seems a little ott but if you've seen other ITV regions you'll understand where im coming from.

im thinking of ordering freesat from a website and it says that the card works for 2 years, im wondering is this 2 years since the product was availavle (october 2004, this would only give me slightly over a year of use) or 2 years from when i stick the viewing card into my receiver?

    That 2 years is notional.
They will work for as long as the current scheme continues.
That could be 2 yrs or 22yrs, at a guess maybe 4 or 5 yrs.
