    Well.......

QOTSA again - out of this world this year, should be headliners
Manics - never ever seen them live, I need to hear Holy Bible stuff live badly!
Blur - Hopefully they will have a new album out next year
Red Hot Chili Peppers - New album next year.... maybe Oxegen would be too small but lets dream anyway
    Morrissey - nuff said
Muse - new album to promote next year... could be likely.. I wan't them!
Franz Ferdinand - Most likely band to be on next year bill for sure
Babyshambles - even though they suck outdoors any excuse to see Pete play is good for me
Carl Barat - solo album out later this year and he's an absolute genius aswell
Beastie Boys - they would go down so well at Oxegen
Chemical Brothers - They are the traditional festival band aren't they
Weezer - I was hoping they would play this year, need them in in 06'
Kings of Leon - Same as above^
The Coral - Same as above^
    The Thrills - Almost certainties
Arctic Monkeys - you may not know them now but in 12 months you will... absolutley outstanding young band
Hard Fi - They will be huge this time next year

Class of 05' to come back again - Kasabian, Kasier Chiefs, Razorlight, Rilo Kiley, Bloc Party, The La's.

My dream would be a hip-hop tent with the following:

The Roots (played Oxegen 2004 or Witnness 2003)
    Talib Kweli
    Aesop Rock
    Mos Def
    Felix Da Housecat
    The Beastie Boys
    De La Soul
    DJ Shadow
    Blackalicious

    I could die happy....

Oh and NWA with the original line up. By the year 2006 we should definitely be able to bring gang bangers back from the grave!

Oh yeah, Stuck Mojo would be great too. I saw some guy in a Mojo shirt at Oxegen this year, in my extremely drunken state I thought it was the best thing I'd seen at that stage

anyone know wat the early bird price is for oxegen tickets?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 229 ✭✭susanna

    €145 for camping

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,746 ✭✭✭✭Misticles

thats the mormal price!! the early bird price?!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,585 ✭✭✭honru

The price this year is the early bird price, since they are going up in cost next year.

They could be planning a three-day festival. Either that or they're milking the festival for all it's worth...

Exactly! Every new band is hailed as the 'Next Big Thing' these days. They release one mediocre album, do a tour and are never heard from again. This breed of band can usually be identified by a 'The' in their title...

I don't know how this idea caught on.

Charlotte Hatherly would be good alright. Garbage too. Would deffinitly like to see them at some point. Never really thought of Offspring playing a festival. I'd say they'd be good at it.

Price will go up 10 euro every year from now on I'd say. It's not really gonna not sell out after this year. Doubt they'll do a three day one. Especially for 145. They'd be at least 200 if it was three days.

Placebo and muse have new albums out so they will play id say, possibly with Muse Headlining and Placebo second hEADLINERS, that would be so good.

Only Pearl Jam, Radiohead or Nine Inch Nails would make me want to go next year.

That would give me a happy..

Imagine if Tool played? Of course, MCD wouldn't dream of putting on a good band and instead would prefer to have ****ty-ass indie crap like the Libertines, Razorlight etc...

Well after The Strokes and The White Stripes et al hit it big back in 2001 there's just been a ridiculous abundance of indie bands that begin with "The". Quite simple really. Unfortunetly not many of these bands are very good.

There's talks of it, at least for T in the Park of which Oxegen is modeled after. If it does happen, I doubt they would be selling tickets for €200 but, hey, we are talking MCD here. I'd reckon €160 or thereabouts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,592 ✭✭✭Ro: maaan!

It costs €150 to buy an Oxegen ticket for next year now. The "full" price for next year will be €160. I assume it'll go up to €170 the year after. If the year after also gets another day added onto it I really can't see it being any less than €190. And 200 is a round enough amount.

ffs, Can't we all just get along? Some people would like to see Pete Doherty, others wouldn't. It's not the first time there's been a difference of opinion. Get over it. Seems as though this argument is popping up in way too many threads...

But if we're talking crazy, then a reformed Led Zeppelin where somehow they resurrected John Bonham.

hahaha I'm sure his son or phil collins could fill in alright!!!!

The Mars Volta, I missed them the last year they did it.
Faithless, they were class last year
Opeth, I'd say they'd rock out one of the smaller tents, they'd have a big enough fan base and it's growing as well.
    Morrissey, one word: genius
