I've got a bit of a problem with RAS on a server running MS Backoffice SBS 4.5
Client's decided they want to be able to use ISDN beside their already in place ADSL connection.
However when I try to open Dail up networking I get an error saying "Cannot load the Remote Connection Manager service, Error 711".
The event log shows several RAS related errors basically stating that it cannot start because "the system cannot find the file specified".
Trying to manually start it in services gives an "error 1068: The dependency seervice or group failed to start"
    Does nayone have any hints/tips/solutions?
    PLEEEAAAASSE?

Firstly, Im assuming here that you are running NT4...

I dont know a whole lot about RAS, But ive had the fun of trying to get it to work before, so heres my two cents. smile.gif

In the Services section, Disable everything and anything to do with RAS,

Remove your ISDN Modem driver, (uninstall it like)

In network, under ... clients i think it is, Remove the Client for the Remote Access Service (IT COULD be under another heading),

    Reinstall them in this order
    • Remote Access Service
    • Enable all the services for it.
    • Install the ISDN Modem
    • Make your connection to the internet

Mabye someone else can jump in and give a bit more info
