I just bought a monitor on ebay but when it arrived it was busted(dont ask, its a long story). Anyone know someone in Dublin that repairs monitors (CRT)?

    Thanks

Unless it's a very big or very high spec monitor you'll pick up one on the for sale forum for less than it costs to repair. If it's a very big one postage must have been a killer.

    what is the problem ?
was it a US one with the voltage on 110V - if you are lucky and just a blown diode/fuse a very cheap repair.
was there physical damage to the tube - if so then it's now toxic waste.

They repair monitors.. If its a 17" monitor then its not worth it. Any bigger than maybe.
