Choosing between these laptops

    Hi,

I'm hoping you might be able to help me decide on which laptop to buy. I've been researching lots but it gets very confusing. My budget is about 700 euro ex vat.

I will be using it for the basics such as web stuff, ms office stuff, watching DVDs, recording audio cds, editing stuff in windows movie maker, and it'd be nice to be able to play games like "pro evolution soccer 4", which i'm a bit addicted to. it'd also be nice to have WiFi capability.

I was looking at the Aspire 5002LM Turion 1.6 512MB 60GB 15"TFT DVDRW XPH (http://www.mangolaptops.com/product...roducts_id/1733) which seems to be good, but doesn't have wireless capability and i'm told might not be very good for playing games because of a weak graphics card. This costs 699 euro (ex vat, but including postage to ireland) at mango computers, which seems to have the best price.

Then the shop recommended the Aspire 3022WLMI Semp 2800+ 512MB 60GB 15.4" DVDRW XPH - Wireless (http://www.mangolaptops.com/product_info.php/products_id/2108) It seems to have a lot of the features I'd like, but I'm told the Sempron processor is nto as good, and still it's not a great graphics card. I could get this laptop for 738 euro

Then someone recommended the Aspire 3023WLMI (http://www.mangolaptops.com/product_info.php/products_id/2110), which is a bit of an improvement on the 3022WLMI in that it has a better graphics card, 20GB more disk space and a processor that's a bit better too. I could get this for 787.50 euro

All of these laptops come with a 1yr Collect & Return + 1yr International Travellers Warranty. I have been advised that Ireland is covered through Acer approved partners.

I did have a look at the Dell outlet store, but I can't seem to get anything as good for a similar price.

I'd really appreciate any advice you might be able to offer with respect to these laptops, or any others that you might be able to recommend for a similar price. It was recommended to me on the laptops forum that I'd get a better response on this forum, hence why I'm posting here.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

Personally I would go for 1 with wireless. Just have a check over some of the following
    • Do you need all of the features?

    • Is the cost competitive? you may be able to get a better price elsewhere

    • Does it have to be a certain Make?

    • Has it many slots for future upgrades?

You should make a checklist and see everything you are most likely gonna need. Then shop around...

    My two cents....
