I think he was here more recent than that. I remember sitting playin UT2004 last Summer and there was an interview with him on 2FM so I presume he was playing last Summer too.

    He was passed out backstage.

Doesnt seem like the kind of guy who'll apologise and come back

No he wasn't. He didn't even make it to Punchestown, apparently something to do with conflicting schedules with the other band members.

The guy is an absolute and total asshole, I hope he never sets foot in this country

The comments he made on stage at glastonbury about John Peel being a cokehead and about the make poverty history campaign were absolutel shameful and he lost an awful lot of fans over it.

    Disgusting

yes and if you were there you should remember that security there were retarded...

and yeah he had a go at john peel and making poverty history- fair enough bad form no excuses,
but **** off with your ' i hope he never sets foot in this country' - if that makes you not want to go to his gig - i can understand that but otherwise grow some sense

Ive already posted about it in the oxegen thread,it wasnt just that he dissed john peel( on the John peel stage) apparently he threw a few tantrums stormed off, came back , insulted john peel , had a go at make poverty history & told the audience that they might as well leave cos he wasnt going to get any better!!.??
of course now hes issued an apology & he "cant remember a thing"
he sounds like an absolute cock

I was at his Glastonbury gig, it was a bad way to finish the festival, he pissed off the crowd big time. He was touring the Digital Ash in... album so it wasn't any acoustic stuff. He was a right pr1ck even if there was a small element of truth to what he was saying. I think he couldn't handle the pressure of headlining and got off his head. My opionion of him as a person went down a lot that night, I still like his music though. I would give him another chance.
I didn't realise he cancelled Oxegen. He seems to be a total disaster, his record label must be ready to strangle him.

I Heard That All His Festival Gigs Were Cancelled Cos Of The Glasto Debacle, yeah Theres A Time & A Place To Take The Piss Out Of Things & While I Would Doubt The Integrity Of Some Of The Live 8 Artists Myself I Think He Was Way Out Of Order.
Theres No Point In Slagging Off Primadonna Rock Star & Behaving Like One At The Same Time.
I'd Heard Great Things About Brighteyes Although I Dont Recall Ever Hearing Any Of His Songs - Im Not Too Bothered Now.
