Not quite idiot proof as they would loose them n' stuff , or leave it in the drawer beside the PC.

How would it rate to the finger print stuff ?

wouldn't just setting the screen saver to lock once someone moves the mouse/inputs on the keyboard do the same thing?

Yeah, unless you had a blindingly obvious password. At least this way you would have to be mugged first, which might give you a tip that someone wants into your computer.

I must be missing something here, as you obviously need to use your mouse / keyboard to interact with your computer. What do you mean cremo?

He's absolutely right! Who'd want to use a mouse anyway! I use the power of my mind to access data. Of course, my mind is a little slower than a 1k modem... i'm still waiting for the computer to boot.

You need Khannobots(TM). The latest in nanobot technology. Allows you to access your computer at speeds of up to 2K.

Back on topic though: Captain: I think that's a great idea where data security is very important and you're on the move. The fingerprint technology is also useful....though I do believe that there are people in this world nasty enough to cut off a finger or two.

For any of you that have SonyEricsson mobiles try out this piece of software:
    http://fma.sourceforge.net/index2.htm

Once you walk away from your PC and bluetooth is out of range it will lock your PC!

Also does other excellent things, my favourite is the remote cam where it sends pics from the phone to your PC :p

i mean there's an option in windows xp that if you put on your screensaver, and then someone tries to get into your computer, xp locks it. it's called "on resume, password protect"
