    Found this site
    http://www.web-sat.com/

    from a post on www.voltapublishing.com

The site seems a little sparse on info, anyone know anything about it? The prospect of broadband with no telephone charges is tempting smile.gif

Yeah its tempting.. very much so. If u have the £2000 for equipment and £150+ per month that is. Cheaper to stay on the phone lines for the time being

    Actually quite the opposite Lampsie.
Its not aimed for the average Joe, but its the best priced bidirectional Sat acces in europe.
Currently its run @ 16Kbit/sec up (ouch) and 2Mbit/sec down but is been upgraded to 64Kbit/sec up.
im not sure if theres a bandwidth cap per month (most likely) but if theres not, i will be first in line when the introduce a resedential package in september.

but there current system is under revision and they plan to introduce a system for the heavy home user.
i dont believe there are accepting any new customers at the moment.
although when the new system is brought in, a cap is almost for sure but nothing as restrictive as what they have now.

a package for the 'heavy home user' - sounds very appealing. As long as it doesnt go arseways like good old esats offering.. I'll wait for it with a quiet excitement
