Basically the handbrake light on the dash of my fiesta is constantly on even when the handbrake is off and im driving around. Just wondering if anybody knows the reason for this or should i get the car checked? The handbrake works fine

    Dodgy sensor wire thats all.

In the fiesta's the handbrake light doubles up as a low brake fluid light as well. I would check these brake fluid levels as well to make sure that it is just a dodgy cable.

Yep, as jayok said, it's likely to be low brake fluid.

i drove down to cork once with the handbrake light on - figured it was a dodgy sensor. by the time I got to the jack lynch tunnel and applied the brakes - what brakes. No fluid left - one of the brake calipers was leaking....
get this fixed ASAP. brake fluid doesn't just go away - it's a closed system. in theory.
