slider switch broken on digi cam

my mates digi cam broke at a wedding ,the slider switch. now after trying to fix it, the switch it totally funked. its a 4.2 mega pix job from aldi, you get what u pay for huh so what can be done? its working apart from the switch, well it will work if u get a switch!
