    Just wondering, the news ticker on my Football Manager game is very... stop/start? .. (Not scrolling in a smooth way!)

    I installed 256MB RAM as part of a general upgrade and noticed that still the ticker is not scrolling smoothly. Im not too bothered about whats written there but its just annoying on the eyes!

    Has anyone else had this problem?

    How much ram do you have in total? I think there may be skins available that let you remove/turn off the ticker from the interface.
    Have a look at the forums on sigames.com, they have a skins subforum.
    I'm using a very impressive one by a post called SamJ, well worth the search for it, I'll have a look for the link later.

    I use the Chamaelion skin, its great cos it changes colour depending on what team screen your looking at.

    This is a bit of a shot in the dark but the only time the ticker should be stopping is when playing online. Just make sure you don't have "run as server" ticked in preferences.

    Its not actually stopping, just kind of shuddering slightly. It used to scroll smoothly but Im not sure why it dosnt now.

    I have 512MB RAM in total.
