DivX Reformatting

    Quick question anyone have any idea of a quicker way to reformat DivX DVD's from VBR to CBR sound for use on the archos. Thats all I need frame-rate etc and resolution stay the same.

    I am using Dr Divx at the moment but it is taking nearly 22 hours (no seriously that long) to reformat the DVD's

    What archos media player have you got?
    I have a AV440 and with the newer firmaware releases am able to play DIVX files
    with VBR mp3 tracks.
    The firmware for the Gmini400 was also updated to allow to play VBR tracked DIVX files.
    Check the Archox site for the most current firmware.

    I have an archos av440 aswell with the latest firmware installed (from may I think) but I am getting audio sync on the DivX with VBR encoded.

    I get 5 secs audio sync with most DIVX(ie.. sound playing 5 secs before the video) . The only way I could get it to work was to encode it in CBR . Any better ideas. How did you get around this drive3331
