Paying that amount of money won't necessarily guarantee you a healthy pup, choose a reputable breeder or locate one in a rescue where they know the animals history.

The cheaper the pup the more likely it is from a puppy farm, be wary of people who want to meet you on the side of the road or want to bring the dog to you, always demand to see the pups mother and possibly father and the condition the pup has been kept in. Vaccination cards can be forged so ensure the pup has a genuine card etc.

You probably know all this already but just in casey.
