    Aye - I had a look at that. Its old info too... where they talk about popper.h, its moved to config.h. Its handy but didn't solve my problem :/

    From http://www.eudora.com/qpopper/faq.html#homedirmail
    <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Can Qpopper use $HOME/Mailbox as the mail spool?
    Add --enable-home-dir-mail=Mailbox to the ./configure command or add set home-dir-mail = Mailbox to a configuration file.</font>

    And a quick search pulled up http://linux-club.org/qmail.html . It's in Japanese, but the commands are in English, and it seems a bit more up-to-date than the freebsddiary one.

    You could just give in and use qmail-pop3d.

    lo there...

    I'm running qmail, and spooling mail in $home/Maildir and I want to use qpopper as a pop3 daemon. My problem is that qpopper simply doesn't want to read mail from that directory - it keeps reporting there's no messages.

    I've tried configuring it before installing with ./configure --enable-home-dir-mail=/Maildir.

    I've tried configuring it with default values, and changing
    #define HOMEDIRMAIL "./mail"

    to
    #define HOMEDIRMAIL "/Maildir"

    and there's still no joy. Has anyone out there used qpopper with Maildir and had it work? smile.gif

    Well, I originally had it setup with pop-3d, but I couldn't for the live of me find a decent way to implement apop. If you know a good way to use apop, I'd love to hear it.

    Apparently you can use Shinya Ohira's checkpassword addon, his site is here

    There are other checkpassword thingies listed here
