Install a copy of Mandrake on yer machine.

Loads of PC mags have distros on the cover CDs also you should ask around in Internet Cafes. I have a copy of Red Hat7 and would have no problem if someone wanted to burn a copy smile.gif

    Hehe :X
Yeah I had a good 4-hour lesson tonight on how not to use xf86config to install your wonkey Nvidia drivers. (long story)
In the end I just managed to b0llocks up my config completely so I couldn't 'startx' without (untin' errors.
Luckily I installed it inside a fat32 partition... so I just deleted the whole mofo partition from windows explorer biggrin.gif

Bye bye Linux (Mandrake7.1), I don't have the patience to deal with you anymore, come back when you're more like Win9x smile.gif

Having said that, Mandrake-8 looks pretty sweet, I'll always install a new Linux distro when I get my hands on one (out of curiousity - and for something to play with), but I've no time for them when they go wrong.
Can't be arsed spending hours configuring & trouble-shooting an OS if it doesn't deliver APPs-wise.

Well xf86cfg is the business for X setup. Not sure if it's on Linux but it's defo on BSD and it's pretty cool.
