I'm glad I made the decision to attend yesterday's classic car show in Terenure college - pure automotive pornography.
It was my first time going to such a show and I was just blown away by the quality on view; I guess the weather drew all the very best cars. I could have spent the entire afternoon drooling over the jaw-dropping American cars but there was so much else to see: Aston martin, Alfa, Ferrari, Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW, DeLoreans, Porsche, Ford, Lancia, MG, etc., etc.,

Hopefully, someone will post pictures of the show later (unfortunately, I had no batteries for my camera :( ).

    ...
Pictures don't quite prepare you for the sheer size of some of these American cars (Cadillac, Lincoln, Chevrolet). Yet, in spite of the size of some of them, the driving position can still be hilariously cramped, with the steering wheel pinned against your chest. Yes, these cars are gaudy, vulgar, ostentatious, ridiculous even (especially in today's context), but they are magnificent creations, and so evocative of a particular age. Most modern cars are bland and forgettable by comparison.

My uncle went with the MG enthusiasts - very enthusiastic bunch indeed - park their cars and drink all day :D .

Yeah, this was a lot more visible when it was a subforum this one, rather than it's "peer" under motors.

Yeah, I'm going to ask for that to be changed back.

    Mike.
