HMV in Grafton street are selling a spindle of 50 blank CDs for €14.99
I'm sorry but can't remeber the name. I know that you can get them cheaper on the net but for those that don't have time or can't make purchases on the net, I thought they were a bargain.

Also, I have been told that Argos are doing a special of 2 for the price of one on a spindle of 25 CD-R's made by Imitation. So that is 50 and I think they are for €13!

Yep I think that you could be right, they could be cd-r's! I didn't get any yet, but how bad are they? Like they don't work well with data & photos? Or only work with music?

There's two packs of 25 Imation CD-R's now available in the Clearance Sale at Argos for €12.99 (buy one get one free).

I've bought them before they're good, with a manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

There are no such things as cd +r's. There are cd-r's (write once) or cd-rw's (write many times).

I got a pack of these myself last week and they are great. Last pack I got (from Argus, Imitation I think was the brand) had to be burned at 2x with no progs running or else they failed and resulting CD was useless.
The ones from Peats have no problem burning at 8x (I know, its an old burner, new one is stuck in my banjaxed pc) and when they do occasionally fail, I just re-burnt using the same CD and they were fine.

AFAIK the music ones cost more because the makers have to pay a royalty to the music industry (some group). Most standalone recorders can not use standard discs and must use music ones (there are ways around it). So if you see a music and normal cd at the same price from the same manufacturer I would go for the non-music one, since in reality it is probably better quality since they are not charging you the royalty
