My hard drive in my Dell Dimension 4300 has recently got corrupted (it was 60GB) I then decided to replace my corrupted HDD with a 8GB one I had from before. After I had replaced the hard drive I rebooted the system again. Now all my IDE devices say Unknown IDE Device. When i go into boot sequence it had CD Rom Drive (Not Installed) and Hard Drive (not installed). The only IDE device it does detect is the floppy disk. I have flashed the bios to A04 but after flashing the bios I still had no luck. I have checked the IDE bus 2 times and it seems to be all correctly plugged in. If anyone can find a solution apart from buy a new motherboard please tell me.

the cable select pins are the same
    one should be master,1 slave.

8 gig was probably from another computer as slave.
