    HI,

I'm looking for work for 8 to 12 hours a week in computerised Accounts and Payroll. I have experience in this area and am looking for work in Dunlaoire area or nearby.

    Thanks, Rexy :)

    Rexy

Why dont you set up your own payrol services

Do some research and then look into advertising. Word of mouth is normally is best form of advertising. But you can stil do p/t from home or that and still take in the rewards of a good turnover

Thanks for suggestion - will think about that one, bit scary though - feel I'd have to know EVERYTHING there is to know about payroll and the tax system and I sure dont! But still can always learn or pretend I do! ;)

The revenue have a good guide to learning about paye under there paye section, you can teach yourself to do pay roll with it. Its not that hard believe me.

Try a dumbie run first make up a fake client who has five employees.

Each employee has a different wage so you can learn about the different levels of tax and prsi as well.

Have a sceanrio where one of the employees is out sick for three weeks and include the statoury 20 days a year holidays.

Fill out the blank tax deduction cards for each employee can some trainee accountant you know or someone who does pay roll to have a look at it and see how you got on.

Basicly how much could you charge for payroll services each month as well as filling in the monthly P30 return depending on work involved.

Thanks for help - I know all the stuff you mentioned and am going to do the payroll technician course for the next year which basically covers everything you'd need to know legislation wise. Do you really think there's a business in it? Do you think potential customers would want you to go into their offices, or would you do it all from home on your own package - just thinking if you were going to their premises you'd have to be familiar with a few payroll packages. You've got me thinking now! Hmmmmm........
