does anyone else ever experience "phantom phone"??? you know that feeling your phone is buzzing in your pocket but it's not... and sometimes it's not even in your pocket and you still think it's buzzing... maybe it's something simple or maybe it's cancer who knows??? unless someone on boards can sort it all out

Yes, all the time it is really unsettling, I thought it was only me,
When you are in a crowded loud place, do you always imagine people to be calling your name?

I heard that if you keep your phone in your pocket it will end up frying the old lucky charms. I wonder is this true ? I try to limit my use of mobile phones for cast and fertility reasons. When i was growing up the only mobile i knew of was a mobile home my faily used to frequent for our hols in Co. Clare ! How times have changed.

    Regards netwhizkid

Omg! I'm the exact same! I'm always checking my phone to make sure it's not vibrating, and I always think people are calling my name in crowds!

That's so weird! I thought I was the only one..

Oddly enough me and a few friends chanced upon this topic of conversation last night, I find it quite unsettling because I though it was actually my grion vibrating spontaneoulsy which is worrying to say the least.

There I am thinking "Ah, I'm popular today" then take out the phone and realise no one wants to talk to me.

i'll take a miss on that obvious joke....

as for the nobody loves you thing, when my friend takes her phone out of her pocket to see if shes got a message and she doesn't then it simply says on the screen 'nobody loves you'

I can't believe how many of you seem to keep your phones in your trouser pockets. I can't even keep a pen in my trouser pocket for fear of rupturing my scrotum.

Realistically there's nowhere else to put it. The pockets were put there for good reason. A spontaneoulsy vibrating crotches is the price I'm willing to pay for convienance I'm afraid.

Rupture your scrotum? With a phone? I think yours is a medical probl.....:D

It's pens that I'm worried of rupturing my scrotum... I'm just worried that a phone will make me sterile.

I use either the inside pocket of my jacket or my shirts top pocket... or sit it on a table...

Is it actuallt the phone or the imagination because I only get the "phantom vibrations" when said phone is actually in my pocket. Happens often enough.

Yes. And anyone reads this thread now will most likely share my worries. Think long and hard next time you go to put a pen in your trouser pocket. Better safe than sorry, prevention is better than cure... etc.... I'm sure they covered all this at the end of an episode of GI Joe or M*A*S*K.

I definately feel a vibrating, although it might just be the phone moving about quickly, I'll monitor the situation over the next few days and report back to you Tar.

Sure with my luck I'm probably already sterile. Carrying that little yoke in my pocket for 8 hours a day most days of the weel.

Ever leave your phone near to a speaker? It affects the output from the speaker even when it isn't ringing.

Ha! Yes I'll be laughing while paying massive amounts of child support to my many illegitimate children.

I get this too! not so much the name calling thing, only now and again. The phone thing happens all the time! I usually leave my phone on silent with vibrate on and it actually happened today that I was certain my phone was ringing then when I took it out it wasn't at all!

    happens a lot!

If you give me cheek one more time you'll feel five across the eye, you hear me? :D

Plus my new phone doesn't have the A-Team ringtone yet but that situation will soon be remedied.
