So here's the thing. The other half has got me tickets for dennis leary. To me Dennis Leary is Thevieng, Cuniving plastic paddy MOFO. Who has built his carrer on Bill Hicks Grave. That is for all of u who dont. Leary stole all his jokes from Mr. hicks. Thatd why he's not had a hit stand up show since 93. Hicks died in 94. The gig is in september and i think we here in boards should, no need to tach Mr. Dreay a lesson. by attending and heckling and Humiliating the mofo. So i propose that we prepare in advace by pracicing and fine tuning are heckesl here on Boards.

well the material may be somewhat similar but in no way identical.
hicks comes across as an extremely lazy and uninterested mess, at least leary can deliver his shows with passion and enthusiasm, this helps make him very different(and better) than hicks.

just different styles of telling their material really, hicks style worked well for his material and if you think he never got passionate in his shows then youve obviously not listened to much of his stuff

It was the No Cure for Cancer show that convinced Hicks that Leary had ripped him off(and so ended their friendship)
There's a joke on the comedy circuit that if there had been a cure for cancer Hicks would still be alive and Denis Leary would not have a career.
As for heckling him don't waste your time,flog the tickets and get some DVD's of original comic geniuses like Richard Pryor,and have a genuinely good laugh.

Say what you want I think Denis Leary is hilarious-he makes really crap movies really watchable like suicide kings...hes the only good thing about that movie that rocks....also rescue me is bloody brilliant, hes the biggest w**ker on the planet in it but you stil;l love the guy. And for any more fans, anybody ever see "The Job" it was a cop show he starred in got a short run on network 2 for a while but it was bloody hilarious!!!
