America's leading right-wing flack is in his ancestral home

I wonder if we'll see some shock horror scare stories about the left wing bias of Kerry's Eye and the Kerryman. :-)

But the big problem here is that there is 65 million of them living in america(bush voters), a lot scarier than a few misguided muslim bombers

How could someone who votes for an albeit stupid president, be more dangerous than a terrorist intent on killing and slaughtering innocent people?

Terrorists kill only a tiny percentage of the public non-involved population (i.e., civilians, you and me).

Unjustified preemptive military action kills multitudes more of that civilian population (i.e., the Iraq war's very very limited reasoning ("they support terrorists"), Vietnam, etc., .)

The civilian population can vote for governments which control that military action. By voting for a government which expressed definite intentions to attack states which had never attacked them, they have become the implicit instigators of more killing and slaughtering of innocent people.

The civilian population cannot vote terrorists away. They can, however, vote the government which created the dissenting and disconsolate few, out of office, and they chose not to.

O/T: I hope those same civilians feel that the reopening of the Haifa oil pipeline is worth it.

He's worse than that. Have a read of stuff he's said. Never had a worthwhile thought in his life, by the looks of things.

You're a bunch of very confused people. Can somebody not have opposing views (like me) without the loony lefties screaming obsenities from behind their computers?

I regularly scream such obscenities elsewhere, too. The man sees America as a totalitarian nation and likes it (he thinks Americans who opposed the invasion of Iraq should be "held accountable" and physically assualted a family member of a 9/11 victim who was against said invasion). He's also a racist and a homophobe, and sexist, obviously. He seems to have no redeeming characteristics whatsoever; correct me if I'm wrong.

Personally, I find it pretty difficult to respect somebody, when they use such boring, tired old phrases as 'loony lefties'. Can people not have opposing views to yours, without being called names?

I think it's pretty fair to say that even the majority of people on the right, regard Bill O'Reilly as being extremely deluded and over the top. He does his cause no favours.

As far as 'redeeming features' go, I must admit, I find him very entertaining to watch.

ok, this thread is getting a little bit out of hand.
I personally don't like Bill O Reilly, infact I think he is the embodiment of everything that's wrong with America, but still we must abide by the rules.
No more personal insults or general rudeness, please. If you've got something to say for/against O'Reilly, have some class and make a point. I'm looking at you KnowItAll and you county, there really is no need for personal insults on boards.ie members or anyone else for that matter.
I'll say it as clearly as I can. If you've got a point to make, make it. If you just want to slag someone off, don't do it here.
Any more personal insults will result in a 1 week ban.

OK so he didn't hold Kerry's Eye or the Kerryman to account for their left wing bias but he was 'shocked' by the extreme left wing views put forward in the BBC by that well known commie Gavin Essler!!!!!!

Am I the only one who is highly amused, and just a little frightened, by the extent to which the media is becoming dominated by rabid right wingers who whinge continuously about left wing bias in the media?

    eg
    O'Reilly
    Gibson
    Hannity all of Fox News

    Harris of the Sindo
    Myers of the Times
    Steyn of the Times
Everyone who writes for the Media Page in the Sindo
    Everyone in Magill

Right wing seems to be in vogue now, increasingly (possibly because it's the underdog, to an extent). People who protest against gay rights are being treated like the new hippies in parts of the US now (see Fred Phelps)

I imagine he's under the illusion that he's Irish.
