the joys of freeroll

well I figured that I probably should get over my bad beat from wednesday night and decided to head to the Fitz for its freeroll. To say that I was drawing dead would be an understatement. 7-2o was dealt to me 4 hands in a row. followed my 6-2, 6-7, 6-7, i felt like I was watching the scores in a wimbledon match.

Anyhoo i was moved twice, hoping each time that I might get a decent card or two, but nope, no chance. My chips were blinded away bar the odd steal, and eventually hit pocket 88's with about 650 in chips, so managed to double up thanks to an 8 on the turn. Two hands later got dealt JJ, in i went again with two callers, thank you treble up. Moved on into the break and picked up my top up. After the break again, I played about 3 hands, and each of them were all in, gamble i said to myself, but no even when I folded and saw what the flop held, nothing would have held up!

One guy on our table made complete bluff with 24c, reraised a big raise, got called and managed to hit his flush on the river!
One person to go before the final table was formed and Rita pushed all in with K10d. I had about 3300 left thanks to blinds 1000-2000, had AQo, in i went, out came my AQx in the flop, yay..no wait, the rag and the A were diamonds - eek! the turn? yup..Ritas diamond...A high flush, so off i toddled wondering how I even managed to get that far playing such few hands.

gotta love those kinda nights eh :D

    Anyone else have any luck?
