Quick question... What do y'all think of the Irish language station TG4? Personally, I like it - they show good films from time to time and seem overall to have quite good programmes for the (few) Irish speakers among us... opinions?

Ceist beag... cad ceapann sibh faoin stáisúin teilifíseán don teanga Gaeilge TG4 (Télé-Gael a ceathair) ? Mé féin, ceapaim gur stáisúin an-mhaith í - taispeáneann siad scannáin mhaith ó am go h'am agus tá na cláranna ata leo go mhaith ar fad leis iad idir sinn atá Gaeilge againn... s'tusa - cad ceapann thú?

(sorry if translation is ... well... crap frown.gif ... I try!)

I can't say I like it. Strikes me as a waste of money. Plus the utterly sh|te reception i get doesn't help. (I have one of those big outdoor uhf aerials and all).

[Bard]: Message deleted. Don't think that just because you post in Irish, people won't understand when you post inappropriate material.

But what I saidwas true. They do show more 'material' than other channels do.

Ceapaim sé an-mhaith ach léibh mé an subtitles. Better than mo gaeilge anyway, agus RTÉ.

Níl me in ann é a fheiscint nios mó, mar táim ina chonaí in áit éile, ach cúpla blian ó shin, bhí mé ag smaoineamh go raibh TG4 go han-maith dé reir an chuid airigid atá a chuir isteach ar an seirbhis. Idir TV3 agus TG4, tá daoine óga (bheul, caoiseach óga) in ann obair le fail ar telifís; mar sin, cheapaim go bhfuil TV3 agus TG4 coisuil níos mó do Éireann an lae innú.

    Slán!
