I just put together a machine with an EPoX EP-9NPA+ Ultra mobo and an AMD 3700+ processor.
I'm getting a POST code of FFh on the mobo and no processor power LED while at the same time the DIMM power LED and the chipset power LED are on and all the fans are spinnig away happily. Looks to me like the processor's no getting power. I just don't know now whether the reason for that is incompatability or faulty hardware.
    Any ideas are much appreciated.

    Thanks.

I have a EPoX EP-9NPA which is pretty much identical to your own mobo?

What type of PSU are you using as you need a 24pin with the 4pin 12v.
Also at least a 350w is required.

I've an Antec SLK3800B case with a 400W PSU that caters for both 24+4 pin and 20 pin connectors.
To be honest I reckon it's the processor. As I mentioned it's the only diagnostic LED that doesn't come on. I'm gonna have it replaced and see from there. If it's not the processor I'll have the motherboard replaced.

It's a pity, I was hoping to be playing BF2 this weekend :-)

    Thanks for your help.
