    Just an idea

HOw about making the boards WAP compatiable. This would be excellent as there would finally be a WAP site worth visiting. As graphics r becoming more important on the web WAP has no welcome there. That is where the boards come in... they r perfect. U could always be reading and posting. I would love it biggrin.gif
    smile.gif
But i wonder if UBB would allow that???

    rant:
    "I WANT WAP.BOARDS.IE"
    end rant

Although in general, "WAP is crap" is a pretty good rule of thumb, the best WAP site I've seen so far is the H2G2 (Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy) one... it's damn addictive smile.gif - and Boards.ie wouldn't be much different...

interesting idea... would be worth doing, I think, if there was money to be made out of it somehow, by Boards.ie

    Something like this might help:
    http://www.vbxml.com/WAP/html2wap.asp

Isn't boards a bit "content heavy" for WAP delivery? Some topics take long enough to open on my 56k...

well surely all the info such as post counts, registered dates, user types, "hosted" info, signatures, and most of the extra text and links on each page would be parsed out...?

Practically no images too of course...
