I'm a guitarist/semi vocalist livin in Dublin tryin to set up a band. I know a good drummer, and I'm lookin for some others and a bass player and or keyboardist or whatever. All kinds of musicians. If you dig My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Throwing Muses, Breeders, Pixies, Slowdive, Smiths, Stone Roses, Verve, Yeah Yeah Yeahs Jesus & Mary Chain Cocteau Twins or some kind of selection of the above , and you can play some kind of instrument well enough please give me a shout. I know there's a lot there and I don't want to BE anyone else but its good to know where someone's comin from and whats playin in their head when they're on the bus or whatever. Er, cheers.

i am 22 & 3/4, a bit of a shoegazer and lookin for a new band. i like similar music. where are you living? where do you propose practising & what style would you say you play?

do you do covers or write songs or what?

Hey yo. I'm livin in the city centre. I want to book a rehearsal hall somewhere in the area, haven't researched it too well yet. The only one I knowoff hand is the Music centre but im sure there r plenty , right? I write and sing but i want to play with other people who can play and sing too, no one man band trips.

Commitment essential and no egos. The plan is to get a good set of quality material well worked out and then to record it very carefully and get demos out. there's no point playing livbe if you're ropey, or if no one can hear your stuff before they go or after they get home i think. Original stuff only in roughly the area of the stuff above. walkin that line between keeping your music focused in terms of direction, and being eclectic. i don't like the way every franz ferdinand song sounds the sam, and the strokes, and coldplay and most bands of the last few years. and also not sounding like a clone of your favourite band is important. And as many voices as possible.
