I m having some problems with these type of DVD+R s.
I've tried Chetaah burner and at the end it gives an error
    that it could not complete.
When i tried nero it gave a warning before the burn
    even started.
There 8x but i set the speed to 4x.
Gonna try burn a data cd when i get home and see.
Got them from komplett, dunno whats wrong.
Could they just be crap dvd's?

Me thinks they're crap. Got them from Komplett too, can burn no problem but reading is very problematic on other drives. Try to burn one on the slowest speed.

I use these regularly, got them from Komplett as well, plus or minus they are great quality discs, I use 'em on my NEC 3520A without problems. Both types have also worked fine with my DVD player. Maybe you should try upgrading the firmware on your writers.

I too, ordered these the same brand combination except DVD-Rs 8x and not DVD+R (in a spindle pack of 25) - Did you get them this way Goose?

Anyway, I use Nero (latest version v6.6.0.13) and the burner is a NEC 3540A. My first two filled to 4.3Gb were fine. One was filled with magazine jpgs (Spectrum) each were about 130Kb each. So a good test.... reads fine on the burner and on the 16x DVD reader no-brand type (4 years old) I have. Works fine on a dell laptop (2 years old) and a recent dell P4 which has a standard CDRW/DVD drive. Wasn't recognised on my CDR burner/DVD combo (Ricoh) which is 5 years old. Other than that all's swell.

I was told that minus ones are better supported. Have the same burner btw.
Was also told a few bad things about this particular Pleomax DVD+R by a few other people. But only after I've bought a spindle of 50 and was wondering why am I having so much hassle. :(
In contrast I've Memorex DVD-RW which read well anywhere even if burnt at a max speed.
