    Hello there,

I'm a long time reader but newbee writer to boards so please be gentle! I have a Dimension 8300 (Yes Dell I know), but I'm trying to flog it. I was wondering would yis have a look at the specification and let me know how much I may or may not be able to ask for it! I've read some threads and it seems splitting the machine up seems to be the way to go but I would prefer to just lump it all.

    Cheers...Here are the Specs:

    Dimension 8300 Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
    1.256 GB Dual DDR RAM
    ATI RADEON 9800 Pro
    Creative Audigy 2 Sound Card
    80 GB Hard Drive
    DVR+R/RW Burner
    256MB Internal Zip Drive

May also throw in some games I no longer use (Champ Manager 03/04, Football Manager 5...and maybe 2 others..)

Sorry I don't have exact makes and models but yis get the gist.

    Cheers Dudes...

based on what i got for a 4600 you should get €600ish. I wouldn't sell it here cos people know too much try the buyandsell but it may take a while. The key is to advertise anywhere you can that's free.

    Cheers 4Xcut,

I was beginning to think my machine wasn't worth the plastic that contains it. I only really decided recently to sell it, and I just wanted some experts opinions!

    hmm... buyandsell....

    Sorry shanethemofo dude,

I aint gonna rip it to bits yet (still using it at home)...I'll try and test the water elsewhere. Ya may see me in the For Sale thread soon though if everything goes pear-shaped..

    Cheers....

im selling my 8300 to a guy at work for 475 for the tower only

    its a 3.2ghz 9800 pro 1.5 gig ram 140gig hd

the only reason im selling it quite that cheap is i got a bargain from the dell factory outlet - a 3.6ghz x850 xt platinum 320 gig hd for 1100 ish so its only working out costing me around 700 to upgrade

however i reckon on buy and sell with a monitor youd definitely get more - and your best bet is somewhere where people are less likely to have a clue :)

Sounds good... I'm thinking of that factory outlet to...prices are unbelievable, I mean the x850XT must be worth 500 on its own!

I have a monitor, keyboard and mouse etc. to go with it if needs be..

I just want to re-coup some of the price of up-grading like yourself....But I'm amazed at how little its worth tday considering how much I spent on the damn thing!
