DVD Audio - a working program?

    Hi there,

I'm at a bit of a loose-end here. I search the web and boards for previous posts on ripping the audio from a DVD (to backup) and yet the best I can find it DVD Audio ripper - which refuses to do more than 5 mins of audio until you pay for it.

I tried HeadAC3he but there are no ac3 files showing to rip.

DVD Decrypter supposidly can do this but I fail to see how - I don't want to rip the DVD itself. Even the Doom9 tutorial doesn't say how. Gordian Knot is for full DVD ripping AFAIK.

    Help please!

Rip the files with dvd decrypter. Open up gordian knot, and demux the VOB files. Demuxing is short for de-multiplexing, which means separating audio and video streams. You should be left with a .DGI file (or something similar) and a .ac3. Probably a couple of ac3s actually.

DGIndex I think is the part of gordian knot that u need to use to demux it. Maybe its DVD2AVI, cant remember. Been a while since i used it

Right I'll give that a go. Thanks.

If there's another (quicker) way to go about it I'm still open to suggestions :D
