Depends on the event mate. Is there alcohol involved? What kind of crowd does it draw? etc etc etc et al

it ain't hard. just do what your told.
most of the job involves giving people directions in my experience. refusing people with alcohol, checking tickets etc. you would only have an odd bit of trouble really, but it does depend on the gig!
long days sometimes, especially with the festivals coming up (12 hr shifts on your feet). and the pay ain't that great but ya get into all the concerts for freee.

yeah i had an interview with sword security. It was in Lucan village, it was just one guy in a little office. I didn't hear from them after that, until the Stereophonics were playing in the point, i can't remember but it must have been a couple of months since the interview. He just rang me and asked me if i wanted to do security at the gig, i said sure. I didn't show up though.

Moral of the story, don't keep me waiting!

A lot of cowboys in this game, lots of fun if your with a good crew.

SH** can hit the fan if you work with muppits!!! Money varies a lot depending on how quick you make a name for yourself, being able to deal with the public is the secret to enjoying it....I've done everything from 1 on 1 politicians etc to 80,000 + crowds... a great learning curve...watch the old pros for style/techniques.

There are very few jobs with the good crews, they tend to have their regulars....plenty of work with the dodgy lots. (crap pay, crap hours, no back up).

I'm working with that company this weekend in Oxygen. As 1 person said earlier its good fun but the hours are long. Most of the questions involve showing people the tiolets, bar, merchantise, first aid etc. 99.9% of people won't hassle you but as the Tatyo ad says ... There's always 1. The pay is poor though. 8Euro an hour.

I work for them part time ,
The money is crap but the job can be lots of fun especially at the summer gigs:)The other advantage is working when you want,I have a full time job so only do the odd weekend.
