    I am looking for a Seagate Barracuda 160GB/200GB ide with ata/100 8mb cache 7200rpm.

I have seen the prices on Komplett.ie and was just wondering if people knew of any other places to get one cheaper.

I am looking at the seagate as it is suposed to be very quiet which I need as it is going into a xbox, but any other suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks for the help....

Try IT Direct on Parliament St, Dublin. They're usually decent for HD prices (and CD/DVD media and cables :)

    It is what it's.

If you want quiet, you should also look at Samsung's Spinpoint range of drives. As far as the Seagates go, I don't know about the 7200.8, but the 7200.7 is noticeably louder than, say, the Barracuda IV, at least in the SATA version (don't ask me why, but there's a noticeable difference between SATA and PATA flavours of the 7200.7)

    FWIW...
