    Anyone out there know what its like to work at Dell Limerick in the S/W IT department?

    Have heard mixed reviews to date....

    Hi there,

    theres absolutely no comparasion between working in their tech support/sales department and working in Limerick for the software dept so disregard previous posters thread. You can make your own mind up about working for an American Multinational.

    They pay very well for developers, circa 50k although most of the people who were there when I worked for Dell had a number of years experience. They paid for my masters while I worked for them as well so can't complain.

    Depending on what area you're going for you need to be interested in the functional side of things such as SCM or Financials as well as the technical/programming end. If so you would get alot out of working for Dell. Especially if you ever decide to move to the US and seek work.

    I hope you like DOS scripting. Although there are talks of switching to Python.
