The 9800SE is much slower than your current card. The 6600 would be similar performance to the 9800Pro so there is no point.

    Either:

    A) Don't bother (exactly what ciaran500 said)
    or
    B) Sell your 9800 pro and get a 6800GT from jes (around 240 euro now for the AGP one).

Yeah a 6800GT would be the best purchase.

Should do you fine on average games for years to come!!!

thanks for the input so far lads

I was hoping not to have to spend over €200 euro and also not to have to sell the 9800pro cause I was going to use it as a hand be down for my bro's system

and thanks for subtle dig juliuspret... "average games" well i never

TBH, if you're not willing to spend > 200 euro, then there's no point in getting a new card. The 9800 pro's still a pretty decent card (retailing for 140 odd new). If your bro needs a new card and cash is an issue then I'd consider a 2nd hand 9800 pro...ironically. :)
