San Jose

Gone West

I've got an opportuniy to stay in San Jose for a week (free, of course!) And I'm wondering what are the best places (if any?) to see. Where should I go, and what's fun to do? Is there anything I shouldnt do Or anywhere I shouldnt go?

(Im in phoenix, AZ atm, so jet lag wont be an issue, I will have the full week to do stuff.)

dont know much about San Jose, but will you have a car?

If so definitely check out San Francisco, (well worth it). And maybe Monterey, probably worth the drive, quite beautiful.

San Francisco is really cool though, go down to Haigh Ashbury on a sunday morning, get some lunch in askew and then chill in golden gate park (near hippy hill) and listen to the drumming = nice!

You can get the train from San Jose to San Fran only takes about 35 min..I lived there for a short time with work..to be honest there's nothing much there. but in San Fran you can head to Napa Valley, Berkley Height and Ashbury is pretty cool too. there's a huge national park too where you can go white water rafting etc... tonnes to do in the Bay Area

Yep, thats what Im going to do for 2 days. Get the train to frisco.
Im just going to be tagging along with my dad as he's on buisness there.
It beats doing nothing anyways.
