No switch on the unit. Would there not be 2 pins on the P1 connector that i could short to turn it on?

Use a paper clip to join any black wire with a green one. I think thats it, check the internet too its all over it.

    I found this tutorial

No he reckons 2-3 seconds max without a load. But would a hard drive even do as a load. This PSU can get damaged all it likes as long as its not going to fry someone.

I don't know but i put a psu running in a case with neon lights and colourful fans just for display without any hard drives etc, but i serously doubt you would damage anything. Though i still won't take responsibility

Its 200W PSU so it isnt expecting a huge load anyways. I'll connect the grey one to ground too, its suppose to help when there's little load. I'll only have it on for about 10 seconds anyway. As long as I dont fry myself or anyone else.....

Whats with the 10 second thing. I've mine running for days. But thats with the connection kept constant, maybe thats why

Well its not going to be on for a long period of time. I'll blame you anyways if someone gets fried :D
