Legal issues aside, I just want to know if this is possible.
If you can a DVD, not a homemade or a commercial one, it's a kind of a promo-reel DVD, can you rip it and edit the video to remove some frames? Then recompile the whole thing and burn it back to DVD?

Basically, is the video you rip from a DVD editable?

Is it easy? I know that's relative, but put it this way, I've ripped DVDs before and I've created DVD's before (from home videos) so, should I be able to do it based on that?

Editing DVD video is easy if you have the right programs.

Getting those programs are easy as long as you do some research...doom9 is a good site.
