I resigned yesterday from my permanent job, have given the required notice of 4 weeks. I'll have been here 4 months when my last day arrives, I was wondering if im entitled to holiday pay?

I've taken about 6 days holidays since I joined, entitled to 20 but surely I wont be paid for them as I havent worked them up??????

You are normally entitled to 1 2/3 days per month, so you would have earned around 6 2/3 days over the four months.

If you have taken 6 days you'll just get paid for the 2/3 of a day.

I work in a wages dept.
you are entitled to 1.75 days per worked months
    4 x 1.75 = 7 days in total

Surely it depends on where you work doesn't it?!

Where I work we are entitled to 1.6 days per month = 6.4 days!

Your statutory entitlement is four working weeks (20 days), subject to a minimum number of working hours when annualised (it's about 1300hrs p.a.) which works out to be 1.67 days per calendar month. Quite a few companies offer 21 as standard. Some companies are more generous stipulating extra in the contract.

I for example get 20 days standard holidays, 1 extra day for christmas eve and a half day to take at my discression during a defined week (for reasons of tradition). There are also defined increments for employees who have longer service.
