Go Bo Sox! I used to follow the SF Giants as well, but have kinda gone off them since the BALCO/Bonds scandal

St louis Cardinals? The Arizona Cards ( USA Football) used to play in St. Louis. Woulda been pretty confusing if theyd stayed in St. Louis!
Anyways, whats the deal with baseball, if the batter hits the ball out of field? Does he automaticly get a Home run? Also if theres a guy at first base, does he get a Home run too?

    Anyway St. Louis Rams rules.

SF Giants fan here, struggling without BB25 but we'll have our day again. Have to say that the MLB website is amazing, even without signing up to any of the $ packages the coverage they give is sensational. Love the fact that the game goes into so much detail with the statistics, I could spend hours studying it.

Any regular baseball fans out there?

Best place for Baseball is NASN on Sky but it is a bit expensive.
When i was over in florida they were showing live games nearly every night on the local tv stations.

It was probably the first time i have ever stayed in my hotel room all nite on holidays, i watched the Subway series between NY Yankees and NY Mets, great game...............

If the batter hits a home run, as far as i know the person on 1st 2nd or even 3rd base will score a run as well

Yeah thats pretty much the basic gist of it. If there is a runner on each base, and 4 runs are scored, its called a "Grand Slam".

There are 9 innings in a standard game (longer if its tied, then it goes on until someone wins), each inning has both teams at bat. Once three players are called out (either by three strikes, a catch or by being caught at a base) it moves to the next teams turn to bat.

Kinda like rounders we all played as kids, but more fun.

NASN is €14.99 per month on NTL, but I can't afford it at the moment. MLB.com streams 98% of games live on the site, for some fixed fee per year or per month or per game. It'd be interesting to see the Premiership in soccer try something similar. It might actually work out cheaper to fans, but create extra revenue for clubs.

Its not going to happen for a while of course, because UK broadband usage levels are nowhere near that of the States.

We must start a petition to get setanta or tg4 to screen MLB replays at night or something. I thought the game was awful when i first watched it but it grows on you and four years later i still follow the BOSOX.

to the best of my knowledge, setanta own NASN (which shows alot of live (and highlighted) games.

Final games of regular season this weekend. Red Sox are one game behind the Yankees going into the final 3 game series of the season. Guess who they play? Yankees.

Red Sox need a sweep to go through as division winners or win two one to force a playoff game.

    Anyone got ESPN???? Pleasssseeeeee :(:(
