the thread title says it all really

what i want to know is how much is this variety pack?

surely a lot cheaper than the family pack seeing as their is barely any channels on it

some relief for those wanting Sky just for RTÉ if it is cheaper

It costs £13.50, so about €20, not really worth it for RTÉ and Sky One.

I thought RTÉ was family pack minimum.

    Has this changed?
    And if so when?

Yes , No, Rte is only available on the family pack (minimum). but come sept i think new packages are to be introduced. But knowing SKY they will keep it in the family pack. :(

if it is to be available on a lesser package in Northern Ireland than here then someone has some serious questions to answer

I doubt very much if RTÉ is on the value pack(variety is probably a mistake by mossy?) in NI.
If you click on the channel list for the UK version of the family pack at the bottom of this page it says RTÉ is on it in NI only.
It does not include it when you click for the value pack.

So unless someone has concrete evidence to the contrary,I'm sticking with the position as I understood it from day one when RTÉ went on sky that its family pack and above only.

No RTÉ on your value pack unfortunately.

But you have to subscribe to at least 2 of the packs, at a cost of £15, so €23.

Yep, new packages on the way, new prices and new EPG (a second one)

I take it these new prices are just gonna increase the cost of it all again? Sky World and multiroom is already over €75 a month :( If it goes up much more there'll be downgrading done

I've already downgraded, I Asked if their is any other offers and the one i'm on now i get Sky Sports 1,3, and Xtra. Sky Movies 2,4,6,8 all for €45. That will change maybe come september :(

I saw a leaflet in a newspaper today which mentioned the coming price changes, but it didn't mention the new packages. The prices are going up by €2 for each package.

I dont think its worth the money. I cancelled and got a ftv card. that gives me just enough to watch most nights and I use the aerial for the irish channels. no way would I pay nearly €65 for them.
