    Any one see it last nite ?
    it was only visible between 11 and about 11.20
    clouds covered it up after that :(

    From what I understand, you would need a very good telescope to be able to see it. It is quite faint.

    i saw what i was told was a comet flying over waterford last night. it didnt have a tail (i'm not an expert so dont know if comets have to have them) and it was travelling at a huge speed, gone out of sight in about 5 minutes

    That woudnt be a comet so. Comets are slow moving relative to the background sky. They are usually visible for months. What you saw could hsve been a shooting star, but if it was for 5 minutes maybe a satellite?
